The Opportunity:
We are seeking a Regional Tax Manager to oversee and manage all taxrelated matters in India ensuring compliance with local tax laws and regulations while optimizing Flywires tax strategy. This role will be responsible for tax planning reporting audits and advisory functions supporting business operations and financial decisionmaking in the region.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage all aspects of tax compliance in India including direct and indirect taxes corporate tax filings and GST.
- Monitor changes in tax legislation and regulatory requirements ensuring Flywire remains fully compliant with local laws.
- Develop and implement tax strategies that optimize efficiency and mitigate risks aligning with Flywires global tax policies.
- Manage tax audits and disputes working closely with tax authorities legal advisors and external auditors.
- Ensure accurate and timely tax reporting preparing tax provisions reconciliations and filings.
- Collaborate with finance legal and business teams to support crossborder transactions and tax implications of business operations.
- Identify and execute process improvements to enhance efficiency in taxrelated operations.
Qualifications :
What We Are Looking For:
We are looking for a tax expert with strong knowledge of Indian tax laws compliance and international taxation with experience in managing complex tax matters for a global organization.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors or masters degree in taxation accounting finance or a related field.
- Chartered Accountant (CA) or equivalent professional certification preferred.
- At least five to seven years of experience in corporate taxation preferably in the fintech payments SaaS or financial services industry.
- Strong knowledge of Indian direct and indirect taxes GST and transfer pricing regulations.
- Experience handling tax audits assessments and liaising with tax authorities.
- Proficiency in financial reporting and tax accounting standards.
- Ability to analyze complex tax structures and provide strategic tax advice to leadership.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills to collaborate with global teams.
- Experience in managing crossborder tax issues and international tax regulations is a plus.
- Fluency in English; proficiency in additional regional languages is a plus.
