Job Description
Key responsibilities of an HCA:
- Personal care: Assisting patients with bathing dressing toileting and oral hygiene.
- Mobility support: Helping patients to safely move around the ward using appropriate equipment if needed.
- Mealtime assistance: Serving meals and helping patients eat.
- Basic observations: Taking and recording vital signs like temperature pulse respiration rate and weight.
- Patient monitoring: Observing and reporting any changes in patient condition to the nursing staff.
- Environmental care: Maintaining a clean and tidy ward environment.
- Communication: Communicating effectively with patients families and other healthcare professionals.
