Job Description

The Service Sales Engineer is responsible for driving service sales growth by promoting and selling maintenance contracts upgrades spare parts and other service solutions to new and existing customers. This role ensures customer needs are met with highquality solutions that maximize uptime and efficiency of TOMRA Food equipment. The main job duties of a Service Sales Engineer in this role include: 

  • Conduct customer visits presentations and negotiations to drive service sales in the Business Unit. 
  • Propose and execute strategies to improve service quality and customer satisfaction. 
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless service delivery and customer experience (FSE / Sales / Local Leaders / Global Solutions / Supply Chain). 
  • Prepare and present regular reports on performance and service sales activities. 
  • Stay updated with industry and market trends and competitor activities to identify opportunities. 
  • Develop and execute sales strategies for service solutions including maintenance contracts spare parts and machine upgrades. 
  • Identify new business opportunities within the installed base and proactively approach customers to propose service offerings. 
  • Work closely with Field Service Engineers and the Service Team to assess customer needs and recommend tailored solutions. 
  • Ensure a high level of customer satisfaction by following up on service sales commitments and providing aftersales support. 
  • Collaborate with the service planning team to optimize contract execution and customer support. 
  • Provide input for pricing strategies and service product development based on market feedback. 
  • Maintain accurate sales records and reports in the CRM system. 
  • Support marketing campaigns in the Business Unit. 
  • Machine performance analysis and propose improvement to the customer. 

Qualifications :

  • Bachelors degree in Technic Business or a related field. 
  • 3 years of experience in technical sales service sales or a similar role preferably in the food processing or industrial machinery sector. 
  • Strong understanding of aftersales service models contracts and customer support processes. 
  • Communication and negotiation skills with the ability to build strong relationships with customers. 
  • Ability to work independently and proactively to identify and pursue sales opportunities. 
  • Willingness to travel frequently to customer sites within the assigned territory. 
  • Proficiency in CRM systems and Microsoft Office Suite. 
  • Fluency in English and in 2nd language at least French or Spanish. 
  • A Bachelors degree in Technic Business or a related field or equivalent experience.  
  • People person & motivator that feels and knows the challenges our Field Service Engineers face and can report them in a correct manner. 
  • Strong sales skills with a track record of meeting or exceeding targets. 
  • European travel may be required but will not be more than 50% of your working time.
