The Role
Fastmarkets Data team is a new and dynamic function supporting the business in developing and delivering our data strategy through data insights and business intelligence. Highly valued by the business we are working hard to transform data function and ways of working.
Reporting directly into ambitious Head of Data we are looking for the right candidate to manage our nascent Insights and Analytics workstream. This is a fantastic opportunity to join us at the start of our journey to bring BI Analytics and Insights together into a high performing workstream in its own right.
You will be responsible for creating and delivering valuable insights that improve decision making and participating in an array of projects to refine and improve KPIs along with the support of your direct line reports.
The right candidate will be passionate about data analytics and storytelling and able to deliver on the priorities set by the business in a timely fashion.
Principal Accountabilities
- Lead and manage a team of data analysts to achieve project and organizational goals
- Design and implement data analytics processes and tools to improve on analytical output
- Analyse various large and complex data sets to uncover hidden insights and provide recommendations to support business decisions and strategies
- Collaborate with crossfunctional teams to identify and prioritize business problems and develop datadriven solutions
- Present/communicate datadriven actionable insights and recommendations to key stakeholders including SLT
- Stay current with industry trends technologies and best practices in data analytics and insights

KNOWLEDGE EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS
We are looking for an individual who is highly motivated driven and have a passion to be part of a fastpaced successful team. Being a strong team player is also important as well as someone who is happy to work flexibly.
- Strong leadership skills with experience leading and managing teams of data analysts
- Excellent analytical and problemsolving skills with experience working with large and complex data sets
- Strong communication skills including the demonstrated ability to find actionable items in data and to present complex datadriven insights to nontechnical stakeholders
- Strong knowledge of data analytics tools and technologies such as SQL R Python and data visualisation tools such as Qlik Tableau or similar
- Proficiency in Excel usage for data analysis
- Strong knowledge of data analytics techniques and methodologies
- Independent curiosity and critical thinking; a history of taking initiative and questioning assumptions
- Ability to listen and understand commercial needs to craft a shared vision for a solution
- Experience working with CRM systems such as Salesforce; marketing software such as Marketo and/or event management software such as Cvent
- Experience with forecasting modelling user research or decision algorithms is prioritized
- Experience in B2B subscription business models particularly for software data products or information services and eventsbased businesses would be an advantage
