Job Description

We are looking for a Global Hazard Communication Expert within our Global Regulatory Function. In this crucial role you will:

  • Classify Syngenta materials according to UN GHS and transport regulations.
  • Produce and manage Safety Data Sheets for our global portfolio.
  • Support hazard communication projects SAP EHS reporting and data quality.
  • Collaborate with crossfunctional teams to:
    • Manage classification and labelling activities.
    • Maintain master data in SAP EHS.
    • Assess toxicological data for classification purposes in coordination with expert toxicologists.
    • Contribute to global hazard communication processes.
    • Support regulatory submissions and regional SDS authors.

Qualifications :

  • Degree in science (preferably postgraduate qualification) or equivalent professional experience.
  • Working experience in a product safety or regulatory field.
  • Knowledge of safety data sheet and hazard/transport classification processes and regulations with experience in REACH CLP UN GHS beneficial.
  • Experience with data preparation and analysis with an ability to analyse problems and to manage large amounts of detailed information.
  • Experience with SAP EHS and SDS authoring beneficial.
  • Excellent communication collaboration and networking skills (interactions with various functions partly remote).

Jealotts Hill International Research Centre UK is situated in pleasant semirural surroundings between Bracknell and Maidenhead and is the place of work for approximately 800 Syngenta scientists and support staff. Jealotts Hill is one of the main global research and development sites and key activities include research into discovery of new active ingredients new formulation technologies product safety and technical support of our product range.

Additional locations in Europe within a time zone that is within a twohour range of CET (Central European Time) and within commutable distance to a Syngenta office can be also considered. There will be adhoc travel across Europe.
