Job Description

We are currently seeking a qualified Mechanical Project Engineer to join our Mining team based out of Toronto ON. The Mechanical Project Engineer will be responsible for lead the execution of a Mining Project in Canada based in Toronto ON or Saskatoon SK. As a Mechanical Project Engineer you will provide leadership to the Engineering Procurement and Construction disciplines to ensure work plans are developed aligned and executed per the requirements of project charter and have the opportunity to work on working with KS Potash (KSPC) as an Integrated Project Management Team (IPMT) to expand the KSPC Bethune Potash Mine in near Moose Jaw Saskatchewan from 2.2 to 3.0M tonnes per annum over the next 5 years. The final production capacity is intended to grow over decades to 4M tonnes per year doubling the current production output of potash. Key personnel will support the project from Saskatoon and Bethune with additional support staff supporting from Calgary Edmonton and Toronto. Join us in this full time permanent role and be a champion of diversity and inclusion.

Duties & Responsibilities:


Qualifications :

  • Ten (10) to Fifteen (15) years of relevant engineering experience.
  • Mechanical engineering degree from an accredited university and PEng registration in good standing.
  • Demonstrated leadership qualities skilled in supervision and leads the team by example.
  • Multitasking and coordination skills executing complex projects in a high pressure and fastpaced environment.
  • Strong interpersonal problem solving conflict resolution and negotiation skills.
  • Excellent oral and written communications skills.
  • A selfmotivated person who also motivates others.
  • Communicates in a proactive accurate and positive manner at all times and is comfortable with managing and resolving conflict when necessary.
  • Proficient technical ability and knowledge of project and field engineering processes.
  • Working knowledge of the industry and regulatory standards procurement and construction systems and practices.
  • Take ownership for achieving the project engineering and construction goals with regards to safety quality health environment scope cost and schedule.
  • Skilled in customer relationship management;
  • Able to travel to client facilities and lead engineering teams on site with an emphasis on safe practices and efficient use of client resources.
