Paralegals and Legal Assistants in our Employment practice provide litigation support to our attorneys and partners who focus on Wage & Hour/PAGA Class Action (PAGA) and Single Action (FEHA). These roles manage a high volume of cases and requires the ability to be resourceful and multitask with a high attention to detail. Experience at an employment law firm highly desirable. This position can be based in Oakland Downtown Los Angeles or Irvine.

Paralegals and Legal Assistants in our Employment practice provide litigation support to our attorneys and partners who focus on Wage & Hour/PAGA Class Action (PAGA) and Single Action (FEHA). These roles manage a high volume of cases and requires the ability to be resourceful and multitask with a high attention to detail. Experience at an employment law firm highly desirable. This position can be based in Oakland Downtown Los Angeles or Irvine.
The Opportunity:
- Prepare correspondence letters pleadings and all forms of discovery.
- Proofread and edit legal documents for accuracy and clarity.
- Conduct legal research and gather relevant information for cases.
- Maintain case files on the Firm’s document and case management system.
- Assist in preparing for hearings depositions mediations arbitrations and trials.
- Case/calendar/project management and client communication.
- Provide administrative support to the legal team.
- 3 years of Paralegal experience at a law firm employment practice focused on Wage & Hour/PAGA or FEHA employment matters
- Well versed in efiling in State Federal courts. Appellate court and administrative agency experience is a plus.
- Experience propounding/responding to discovery calendaring hearings and court deadlines and assisting with mediation/arbitration/trial preparation.
- Excellent verbal and written skills and the ability to communicate effectively with employees at all levels across the Firm.
- Strong attention to detail organizational skills and the ability to multitask
- Strong attention to detail and excellent proofreading skills.
- Proficient in conducting legal research using LexisNexis Westlaw or similar platforms.
- Experience using Litify or similar case/document management systems.
- Spanish fluency and proficiency with Microsoft 365 strongly preferred.

- This hourly position ranges from $29/hourly to $50/hour (annualized at $60320 $104k annually) based on experience.
