Position Summary:

The Network Engineer will focus on applying policies to Vwire configurations in Palo Alto to improve traffic efficiency. This role involves policy review troubleshooting and implementing firewall rules based on security guidelines set by the Infosec team. The position requires handson experience with Palo Alto firewalls and network security policies.

Key Responsibilities:

Convert Vwire configurations to Layer 3 routing rules on Palo Alto firewalls.

Apply security policies as per Infosec guidelines and troubleshoot issues during the process.

Work with network engineers and stakeholders to clarify and implement requests.

Perform manual reviews and troubleshooting to ensure policies are effective and traffic flows smoothly.

Qualifications:

Bachelors degree in Computer Science IT or a related field or equivalent experience.

3 years in network engineering with a focus on Palo Alto firewalls.

Strong knowledge of Vwire to Layer 3 conversion and firewall rule implementation.

Expertise in Palo Alto firewall configuration and network security.

Experience in troubleshooting networkrelated issues and policy management.
