Job Description
Role: Data Engineer
Location: McLean VA
Duration: 6 Months
Interview Process:
1 hour interview with Abel and one of his senior engineers
Will be making sure the experience is what they are looking for and talk to resume.
No coding test but they will look at approach to problem solving and approach to working with the teams.
Will ask how they raise impediments and escalate things.
Duties: Data movement and data transformation from a Scala Point of view
Must have:
Most important:
o Strong Experience Working with Scala 9095%
Strong experience writing code unit testing code help optimize Scala code.
Need experience with data movement and data transformation from a Scala Point of view.
1 year plus professional experience in Spark
Experience reviewing existing python APIs
Databricks professional exposure/some experience
o Ability to do some infrastructure provisioning on Databricks EC2 environment.
DynamoDB at least a year of experience
Look at infrastructure and resolve issue.

Responsibilities:
Development on Scala/Spark application
Pull Request (PR) reviews of Scala/Spark
Pull Request (PR) reviews for Python APIs
Unit/Integration testing for Scala/Spark applications
Some infrastructure provisioning on Databricks E2 environment
