IT Project Manager Resilience & Risk Management (Remote)
This is an open role in the insurance industry supporting enterprise technology and services. The selected candidate will be responsible for managing key workstreams within a global technical resilience program ensuring project milestones are met through effective governance and collaboration with stakeholders. This position requires strong problemsolving risk management and communication skills to deliver technical solutions that align with regulatory requirements and business objectives.
What is in it for you:
Salaried: $53 to $59 per hour.
Incorporated Business Rate: $64 to $70 per hour.
12month contract with the potential for permanent employment.
Fulltime position: 37.50 hours per week.
Schedule: Monday to Friday 9 am to 5 pm.
Occasional global calls before 9 am or up to 9 pm depending on time zones.
Remote role requiring occasional inoffice presence in Toronto.
Responsibilities:
Develop and manage project plans and milestones across multiple workstreams ensuring successful delivery through governance structures.
Provide input to the Program Lead for stakeholder and executive communications in forums such as Steering Committees and Transformation Committees.
Proactively identify escalate and resolve risks and barriers to execution.
Collaborate with Risk & Control Governance groups to ensure projects are assessed and managed from a risk perspective.
Manage project scope requirements and implementation with stakeholders ensuring outcomes are delivered within budget and schedule.
Monitor project progress highlighting key delivery risks issues and dependencies through portfolio governance.
Provide monthly project status updates detailing project health including cost scope and benefits to support decisionmaking.
Identify analyze and mitigate project risks ensuring proper documentation and controls are in place.
Facilitate effective communication among project teams stakeholders and sponsors.
What you will need to succeed:
University degree required.
PMP certification or equivalent preferred.
5 years of experience managing multiple projects within a program.
Experience managing and delivering technical solutions that meet OFSI regulatory requirements and support technical resilience.
Proven ability to identify and communicate key risks and issues ensuring transparency and alignment with business objectives.
Strong problemsolving and analytical skills proficient in tools like Microsoft Excel for data analysis.
Strong written and verbal communication skills capable of delivering updates to all levels including senior management.
Ability to articulate technical strategy and expected outcomes effectively.
Ability to influence collaborate across teams and deliver results in ambiguous situations.
