Job Description
Job Title: Machine Setup Technician
Work Location: 3330 W Town Point Dr Kennesaw GA 30144
Shift Schedule:
- Monday Thursday: 6:00 AM 2:30 PM
- Friday: 5:00 AM 1:30 PM
- Mandatory Weekend: Last Saturday of the month
Job Overview:
The Machine Setup Technician is responsible for ensuring efficient production line operations by setting up machinery raw materials and packaging supplies while minimizing downtime. The role requires strong mechanical skills organization and attention to detail to support seamless manufacturing processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor and follow production schedules closely to meet daily operational requirements.
- Set up production lines with required machinery raw materials and packaging supplies.
- Plan setup schedules to minimize downtime between order packaging.
- Ensure machine parts raw materials and packaging are ready before production starts.
- Respond to Assembler/Filler requests for packaging during long runs.
- Clean and maintain setup equipment and store parts properly per 5S standards.
- Keep tank interiors and exteriors clean and periodically refresh contents for effectiveness.
- Operate a forklift to move set up and store bulk materials.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area in Maintenance.
- Comply with Health Safety and Environmental procedures at all times.
- Perform other tasks as assigned.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Experience: At least one year of directly applicable experience.
- Language Skills: Must be able to read write and communicate in English effectively.
- Technical Skills:
- Ability to interpret and follow instructions from manuals company procedures and guidelines.
- Basic math skills including understanding percentages fractions and decimals to set equipment flow rates and volume specifications.
- Proficiency in using hand and power tools (with or without reasonable accommodation).
- Mechanical skills to perform setup maintenance and parts cleaning tasks.
- Certifications: May be required to obtain and retain a forklift operators certificate.
- Safety Compliance: Must be able to wear and use all required PPE equipment and clothing (with or without reasonable accommodation).
