Job Description
Chief Enterprise Architect
Overview:
Lead the design development and implementation of enterprise architecture frameworks across business application data and infrastructure domains. Align strategic objectives with technological solutions to ensure scalability performance and security. Establish and operate the Enterprise Architecture (EA) office to oversee architectural governance and drive transformation initiatives.
Responsibilities:
1. Strategic Enterprise Architecture Development:
Develop and maintain comprehensive EA frameworks including business application data and infrastructure layers.
Align the organization’s strategy with enterprise architecture principles and technology roadmaps.
Design and implement AIdriven use cases and integration strategies to enhance operational and decisionmaking capabilities.
Oversee the adoption and migration of enterprise architecture tools such as Orbus iServer and OrbusInfinity.
2. Governance and Oversight:
Establish the Enterprise Architecture office and define its functions roles and processes.
Enforce architectural standards guidelines and best practices across all domains.
Conduct architecture reviews to ensure alignment with strategic goals performance metrics and compliance requirements.
Provide executive oversight for the design and delivery of enterpriselevel projects ensuring alignment with the organization’s vision.
Ensure the clear business values are delivered via the EA office with clear KPIs and ROI.
3. Leadership and Collaboration:
Lead a multidisciplinary team of architects including Business Application Data and Infrastructure Architects.
Foster collaboration between technical teams business units and external stakeholders to ensure cohesive and efficient execution of architectural initiatives.
Mentor and coach team members to develop their technical and leadership skills.
4. Stakeholder Engagement:
Work closely with senior executives and stakeholders to understand organizational goals challenges and opportunities.
Communicate enterprise architecture strategies and initiatives effectively to both technical and nontechnical audiences.
Build relationships with external vendors partners and regulatory bodies to align EA practices with industry standards.
5. Innovation and Emerging Technologies:
Maintain a technology watch to identify emerging trends and innovations relevant to enterprise architecture.
Evaluate and recommend new technologies and frameworks to improve efficiency scalability and security.
Incorporate AI cloud computing and other advanced technologies into the enterprise architecture framework.
6. Documentation and Knowledge Sharing:
Document architecture layers including conceptual logical and physical views using industrystandard tools.
Develop a repository of architecture artifacts principles and standards to ensure consistent implementation and knowledge sharing.
Create reports presentations and whitepapers to communicate enterprise architecture strategies and outcomes.
Skills and Requirements:
Education:
Graduate degree in Computer Science Engineering or a related field.
Experience:
6 years of experience in enterprise architecture roles including leadership positions.
Demonstrated experience in establishing EA offices and implementing largescale frameworks.
Local Qatar knowledge and experience is a plus.
Certifications:
TOGAF certification is mandatory.
Additional certifications such as ITIL COBIT Zachman or Lean Six Sigma are desirable.
Technical Skills:
Strong knowledge of enterprise architecture frameworks and methodologies (e.g. TOGAF ADM).
DAMA certification is a plus.
Handson experience with EA tools including Orbus iServer and OrbusInfinity.
Expertise in designing and implementing architectures across all domains: business application data and infrastructure.
Knowledge of AIdriven data integration frameworks and cloud technologies.
Soft Skills:
Exceptional leadership and team management abilities.
Strong analytical and problemsolving skills.
Excellent communication and presentation skills in both English and Arabic.
Proven ability to manage complex projects and prioritize tasks effectively.
Tools and Methodologies:
Expertise in enterprise modeling tools (namely Orbus iServer or OrbusInfninty other tools of the same grade might be an alternative).
Proficiency in project management and collaboration tools (e.g. MS Project Jira Confluence).
Knowledge of Qatar Enterprise Architecture GEA is a plus.
Operating Environment:
Collaborate with crossfunctional teams and stakeholders to align architecture initiatives with organizational objectives.
Work in a dynamic fastpaced environment requiring adaptability and multitasking.
Many external stakeholder meetings and workshops are expected.
