Job Description
Director of Surgical Services I FullTime I Days I No Weekends
Location: Hopewell VA
Salary: $96137 $153816 per year (Based on Experience) Bonus: 15% Director Bonus
SignOn & Relocation Bonuses: Negotiable
About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Director of Surgical Services to lead perioperative operations in a 140 bed acute care facility. This leadership position provides strategic oversight operational
management and clinical excellence to ensure safe efficient and highquality surgical services.
Responsibilities
- Provide 24/7 leadership for the Operating Room Sterile Processing Pre/PostOp PACU and Endoscopy
- Oversee 4 ORs 3 Endoscopy Rooms and a strong orthopedic and general surgery program
- Develop and implement strategic plans for growth and efficiency
- Manage budgeting financial planning and capital equipment requests
- Ensure regulatory compliance quality and safety within surgical services
- Foster physician relationships and team engagement
- Monitor case volume (726 cases per day) and manage oncall surgical services
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN required)
- Master's Degree in Nursing Business or Healthcare Administration preferred
- 3 years of leadership experience in Surgical/OR management (REQUIRED)
- Active RN License in Virginia (or Compact/MultiState License)
- CNOR (Certified Nursing Operating Room) preferred
- CSSM (Certified Surgical Services Manager) preferred
