Ensure the safe, efficient, and productive operation of the Internal Transfer Vehicles (ITVs) within DPWORLD Jeddah container terminal.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
Manage ITV Drivers: Supervise, train, and evaluate ITV drivers, providing guidance and support to optimize their performance and ensure compliance with regulations.
Ensure Safety and Security: Enforce safety regulations and procedures for ITV operation, including traffic management, loading/unloading protocols, and emergency response. Maintain security protocols to protect cargo and equipment.
Optimize ITV Traffic Flow: Plan and organize ITV routes and schedules to minimize congestion and maximize the efficient movement of containers within the terminal.
Vehicle Maintenance Management: Coordinate with the maintenance department to ensure regular maintenance and repairs of ITVs, minimizing downtime and maximizing vehicle availability. This may include pre-trip inspections and reporting any defects.
Communication and Coordination: Maintain effective communication with other terminal departments, such as vessel planning, yard operations, and gate operations, to ensure seamless container handling and timely transfers.
Monitor Performance and Productivity: Track key performance indicators (KPIs) related to ITV operations, such as ITV productivity, container throughput, and equipment utilization. Identify areas for improvement and implement strategies to enhance efficiency.
Problem Solving: Address any operational issues or challenges that arise with ITV operations, such as traffic congestion, equipment malfunctions, or driver issues.
Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate records of ITV operations, including driver logs, maintenance records, and performance data. Prepare reports on ITV performance, productivity, and safety incidents.
Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities to improve ITV operations, efficiency, and safety. Implement best practices and new technologies to optimize terminal performance.
Education: High school diploma or equivalent; a degree in logistics, supply chain management, or a related field is preferred.
Experience: Proven experience in a supervisory role within a container terminal or similar logistics environment, specifically with ITV operations.
Skills:

-Knowledge of container terminal operations and safety regulations, specifically related to ITV operations.
-Ability to operate and maintain ITVs (preferred, but not always required)
-Proficient in using terminal management systems and software
-Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities
-Ability to work in a fast-paced and demanding environment
Certifications: Relevant certifications in safety, equipment operation, or logistics management are a plus. Specific certifications related to operating and maintaining ITVs are highly desirable.
Supervision of Inspection and Testing Activities:
Oversee Testing Procedures: Supervise and coordinate the testing, inspection, and verification processes for equipment, machinery, or products to ensure they meet established standards.
Quality Control: Ensure that the inspection and testing procedures are carried out in compliance with relevant codes, industry standards, and safety regulations.
Scheduling Inspections: Plan and organize the scheduling of testing and inspection activities, ensuring minimal disruption to production or operations.
