Job Description
Our customer is looking for a Cloud Security Expert who is Fluent in Hungarian.
Start date: ASAP
Project duration: till March 2026
Project Overview: Implementation of a new cloudbased retail platform for a leading Central European bank integrating virtual banking and modern core banking systems. The initiative involves both technological transformation and optimization of retail business processes. The initial phase will focus on launching the platform for end customers including loan origination processes with future expansions to incorporate additional products and services.
Business trips: Yes possible trips to Hungary
Cloud Security Expert will be a key contributor to a cuttingedge cloudbased banking project in Hungary.
He/she will be part of a team responsible for consulting on strategic decisions delivering security solutions shaping the overall security architecture and enhancing the security posture within the AWS cloud ecosystem.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for protecting the bank s IT infrastructure and data from cyber threats. This role demands deep knowledge of local regulations and compliance with Hungarian regulatory bodies. We are looking for a passionate and independent expert eager to implement stateoftheart cloud security solutions (AWS and related ISVs) while serving as both a technical specialist and customer consultant. A handson approach strategic mindset and consultant/managerial attitude are essential.
Key responsibilities:
- Implement security solutions within customers AWS cloud environments including CNAPP and other security tools.
- Advise and support banking customers on cloud security matters ensuring compliance and best practices.
- Monitor and analyze security threats researching the latest developments to mitigate potential risks.
- Develop and enforce IT security policies and guidelines to protect digital assets.
- Identify and address security vulnerabilities ensuring system integrity and resilience.
- Respond promptly to security incidents and misconfigurations minimizing impact and ensuring swift resolution.
- Conduct regular security assessments and compliance checks to detect weaknesses.
- Train and mentor employees on cybersecurity best practices and protocols.
- Ensure compliance with Hungarian regulations including cybersecurity laws EU NIS2 Directive DORA and relevant local legislation.
- Oversee security measures throughout development activities to ensure adherence to security standards.
- Conduct security audits and prepare reports for senior management and regulatory bodies.
- Bachelor s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
- 5 years of experience in IT security.
- Fluent in English and Hungarian (B2 level in both written and verbal communication).
- Familiarity with CNAPP CSPM CWPP or a willingness to learn advanced cloud security solutions.
- Handson experience with scripting InfrastructureasCode (IaC) and ComplianceasCode (CaC) is a plus.
- Strong understanding of core security concepts including CIA triad Least Privilege DefenseinDepth authentication (AuthN) authorization (AuthZ) and encryption.
- Solid architectural knowledge of AWS and at least basic familiarity with Azure or GCP.
- Problemsolving mindset with a handson engineering approach.
- Experience implementing security solutions (e.g. CNAPP SIEM EDR AV IAM DLP).
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
