Broad Function and Purpose of Position:
Business Development Manager for Automotive OES is tasked with maximizing revenue material margin and market share. He/ she must deeply understand customer needs products and applications to devise effective sales strategies identify new opportunities forge strategic partnerships and drive sales growth. The primary focus is on developing new business while also managing existing accounts offering technical and commercial support to drive sales growth. Key objectives include building rapport with potential direct customers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement a comprehensive business growth plan for Automotive Interiors.
- Responsible for annual Automotive OES (Interior) revenue targets and expand customer base.
- Responsible for generation of new RFQs and Managing them together with National Business Manager OES.
- Conduct market research and analysis to identify industry trends competitor activities and potential areas for business expansion in Automotive Interiors. Identify new business opportunities with existing key accounts develop new key accounts and develop potential business partnerships through research.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients ensuring high levels of client satisfaction and fostering repeat business.
- Proactively seek information about customers business application challenges production bottlenecks and provide solution in consultation with National Business Manager OES and Technical Service
- Monitor market trends competitors and consumer preferences for improvement & innovation.
- Validate recommended Sika solutions through customer trials and tests.
- Plan and implement customer events e.g. Technology Days to update key accounts on global innovations and best practices.
- Analyse sales data to evaluate business development effectiveness and suggest improvements.
- Present regular reports on business development activities to reporting manager.
- Contribute to team objectives as required.
- Collaborate with crossfunctional teams including marketing product and operations to drive business development initiatives and ensure seamless execution.
Key Skills Required:
- Experience in Sales Business Development Key Account Management roles with min. 10 years in Automotive industry. Experience with Automotive tier suppliers will be preferred.
- Indepth familiarity with Polymers Coatings Elastomers industry knowledge is preferred.
- Strong business acumen with an entrepreneurial mindset.
- Strong understanding of the Indian market dynamics consumer behavior and competitive landscape
- Excellent negotiation communication and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated selfstarter and ability to work independently or within a team.

- Proven track record in achieving and exceeding sales targets

Qualifications/Experience:
- Masters or Bachelor of Engineering in Polymers Chemical Eng Mechanical Engg. Post graduate diploma or masters in business administration (MBA) will be preferred.
