Job Description

This role delivers professional HR Advisory support to key stakeholders and colleagues. You will interface with stakeholders and People teams to provide advisory support across brands and sites ensuring legal compliance and alignment with De Beers Group values. You will build strong relationships and advise on organizational change employee relations and peoplerelated issues including employment compensation and benefits. The role will report to People Services Manager based in Gaborone.

Key Tasks:

  • People Operations:
    • Support People agenda projects (culture behavior organizational change).
    • Interface with the wider People Operations team to ensure smooth operations.
  • Compliance and Legal:
    • Monitor legislation changes and ensure compliance.
    • Maintain Employee Handbooks and Policies in line with local laws.
    • Support statutory documentation and question business scenarios from an immigration and tax perspective.
  • People Partner and ER Support:
    • Provide firstlevel advice on key people management/HR processes.
    • Develop and maintain People processes and procedures.
    • Support the rollout of People initiatives and consistent implementation of People strategies.
  • Leadership Development:
    • Contribute to the coaching and development of business stakeholders and line managers by providing ER advice and guidance.
    • Support the development of leadership training material.
    • Employee Communication and Engagement:
    • Support People initiatives and the Employee Engagement Survey process.
    • Assist in the delivery of local training (e.g. on ER processes).
  • Talent Attraction:
    • Conduct process reviews to identify improvement opportunities.
    • Role model the right behaviors and contribute to a positive work environment.

Qualifications :

  • Relevant tertiary qualification preferably a degree in Human Resources/Industrial and Organisational Psychology
  • Experience and Knowledge
  • 5 years demonstrable HR Advisor or similar experience is a requirement.
  • Experience with SuccessFactors HRIS and Microsoft Office.
  • Strong analytical and data management skills.
  • Good knowledge of ER management with pragmatic solutions.

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong analytical thinking data management and interpretation skills.
  • Fluent in spoken and written English.
  • Proactive and analytical mindset.

Background Checks

Successful candidates will be required to complete background screening which may include a criminal check and validation of qualifications.
