Job Description

Fulltime Permanent September 2025 Start

Are you a passionate and engaging Teacher of Psychology with a desire to inspire students to explore the fascinating world of human behavior and mental processes We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic individual to join our supportive Psychology department in a secondary school in Richmond.

About the Psychology Department:

The Psychology department is a collaborative and passionate team with a shared commitment to fostering students interest in this captivating subject. We offer a rigorous and engaging curriculum that covers a wide range of psychological theories and concepts.

About the Role:

  • Teach Psychology across Key Stages 4 and 5 potentially Key Stage 3.
  • Plan and deliver engaging and differentiated lessons.
  • Utilize a range of teaching methods and resources including experiments discussions and case studies.
  • Assess student progress set targets and provide constructive feedback.
  • Contribute to the departments curriculum development.
  • Foster a love of Psychology in students.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues.
  • Participate in professional development opportunities.

Ideal Candidate:

  • Holds QTS or equivalent.
  • Possesses excellent subject knowledge in Psychology.
  • Demonstrates a passion for teaching Psychology.
  • Has strong communication interpersonal and classroom management skills.
  • Is confident in building rapport with students and fostering a positive learning environment.
