This primary school offers a welcoming and supportive community where children aged 3 to 11 receive both nursery and primary education. Under the leadership of the Headteacher the school upholds its ethos of fostering academic social and spiritual growth in all students.
The school was rated Good in its most recent Ofsted inspection. It offers a breakfast club for students while an afterschool club is not provided. The school creates an inclusive environment that ensures every child feels valued and supported in their educational journey.
Teacher Responsibilities
Plan prepare and deliver engaging lessons that cater to the diverse needs of Year 5 students.
Implement effective teaching strategies to inspire and engage students ensuring the curriculum is accessible to all learners.
Assess and monitor student progress providing regular feedback and setting targets for improvement.
Collaborate with colleagues to develop curriculum materials and share best practices.
Maintain a positive safe and inclusive classroom environment that fosters respectful behaviour and strong relationships.
Communicate effectively with parents/guardians providing updates on student progress and addressing any concerns.
Participate in staff meetings professional development workshops and other school activities as required.
Requirements
Bachelors degree in Education or a related field.
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
Experience teaching Year 5 students in a primary school setting is preferred but not essential.
Excellent knowledge of the National Curriculum and assessment methods.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to differentiate instruction to meet the needs of individual learners.
A commitment to professional development and staying uptodate with the latest educational practices.
Flexibility and adaptability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
