About the Role:
This is an exciting opportunity to inspire and empower young women to delve into the fascinating world of chemistry. You will be responsible for delivering engaging and stimulating Chemistry lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4 fostering students understanding of chemical concepts and processes and nurturing their scientific inquiry skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan deliver and evaluate engaging Chemistry lessons for Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 in line with the National Curriculum and the schools Catholic ethos.
- Foster a love of learning and encourage students to explore chemical concepts and theories with curiosity and enthusiasm.
- Develop and implement innovative curriculum initiatives that align with the schools vision and the latest advancements in chemistry education.
- Create a supportive and inclusive learning environment where all students feel valued and challenged to reach their full potential.
- Build positive and supportive relationships with students promoting a growth mindset and a belief in their scientific abilities.
- Play an active role in the department including contributing to curriculum development assessment strategies and departmental meetings.
- Participate in wholeschool events and initiatives fostering a collaborative spirit and contributing to the wider school community.
The Ideal Candidate:
- A qualified Chemistry Teacher with a demonstrable track record of success in engaging students and fostering their understanding of chemical concepts and processes.
- Excellent subject knowledge and a passion for chemistry with a strong understanding of key chemical principles theories and practical skills.
- Strong pedagogical skills with the ability to deliver innovative and effective lessons that cater to diverse learning styles.
- A commitment to high standards and the ability to create a positive stimulating and inclusive learning environment.
- Excellent communication interpersonal and collaboration skills.
- A willingness to be part of a dynamic team and contribute to the ongoing development of the department.
