Job: NCDOT Technical Specialist Mid Level (758014)
Location : 1020 Birch Ridge Drive Raleigh NC 27610
Only candidates that currently live in the Raleigh NC area will be considered.
NCDIT Transportation is seeking to fill a shortterm (approx. 12 month) contractor assignment. The selected candidate will fill the role of .NET/C# MidLevel Developer on the DMV Traffic Records Systems (TRS) team for the NCCRIS Project.

NCDIT Transportation is seeking to fill a shortterm (approx. 12 month) contractor assignment. The selected candidate will fill the role of .NET/C# MidLevel Developer on the DMV Traffic Records Systems (TRS) team for the NCCRIS Project. TRS supports the DMV Crash Data Management and DOH Traffic Safety in collecting analysis and distribution of motor vehicle accident information. The chosen candidate will be part of the development effort to convert the TRS applications from Java to.NET.
The contractor will work with Business Owners in the translation of customer requests into technical request and user stories coordinates software release schedules with the Business and Technical Team develops business requirements and provides testing and training support. This individual must have proven experience with enterprise level software development programs.
Knowledge Skills and Abilities Requirements:
Bachelors degree in Computer Science Computer Information Systems Computer Engineering Math or Engineering or related technical discipline.
Experience developing new webbased applications using .NET/C/ASP .Net Core relational databases (such as SQLServer Oracle) web services (SOAP and REST) user interfaces (HTML5 CSS JavaScript) and GIT/Azure DevOps for a minimum of 3 years.
Demonstrated ability in application analysis and design cost analysis estimating staffing needs testing documentation and implementation for a minimum of 3 years.
Demonstrate these Preferred Skills:
Experience with ASP.Net MVC
Experience with objectrelationalmapper such as Dapper Entity Framework
Experience with testing frameworks such as nUnit MSTest
Demonstrate effective communications in oral and written form.
Proficiency in basic computer applications such as Microsoft Office software products.
Documented experience developing applications using .NET/C#/ASP .Net Core and GIT/Azure DevOps
