You will deputise for the Editor in Chief or Deputy Editor in Chief as needed steering operations and representing the esteemed Express brand in senior editorial meetings. You will oversee all multimedia content and collaborate with departments to create a dynamic website teeming with personality and attitude. You will manage forward planning and distribute our engaging content across multiple platforms driving impactful Express campaigns and promoting the brand with enthusiasm.
You will create and implement editorial strategies with precision ensuring you and your team meet targets. You will nurture existing talent and play a key role in recruiting new team members fostering an open and inclusive culture. Leading daily conferences youll work alongside the Express senior leadership on innovative strategies and projects ensuring all content is legally sound and IPSOcompliant. This role will involve some weekend and evening shift patterns so a flexible approach is required.

You are a senior qualified journalist with a proven track record of creating and editing high quality content within similar national or major regional titles. You have a natural ease in managing staff within a dynamic and highpressure environment adapting seamlessly to change.
Your open and flexible approach allows you to quickly learn new skills which you can effectively impart to others fostering a culture of continuous development. Most importantly you have a passion for breaking stories and presenting them in a manner that highlights the unique essence of the Express brand.
