Job Description
CD PROJEKT RED is looking for an experienced Senior Weapon Artist to work on Cyberpunk: Orion the follow up to Cyberpunk 2077 and the next game in the franchise. As a Senior Weapon Artist you will contribute to an immersive player experience by designing and modelling memorable weapons of the Cyberpunk universe.
Daily Responsibilities
- Interpreting weapons designs from detailed concepts.
- Hard surface modeling of weapons props or possibly vehicles with mechanical articulation for accurate functionality.
- Texturing and material creation.
- Assisting in the creation of pipelines and workflows for weapons creation and customization.
- Creating documentation for workflows or pipelines.
- Writing and preparing briefs for outsource or other development partners.
- Working with the design animation and Art Direction teams to problem solve both design and aesthetic challenges.
- Mentoring other hardsurface/weapon artists.
Qualifications :
- 7 years of demonstrated experience in the games preferably focused on hardsurface modeling for weapons and props.
- Experience working on AAA first person titles.
- Extensive experience using 3D modeling applications.
- Strong background in traditional art skills understanding fundamentals like proportion scale value and color theory.
- A strong understanding of material surfaces and the ability to communicate them visually.
- Excellent understanding of mechanical function and purpose and the ability to create believable assets.
- The ability to learn new tools quickly and effectively.
- Knowledge about weapon design across various eras and genres.
- Team player approach taking direction and reacting to stakeholder feedback.
Additional Information :
Inoffice in a hybrid or fulltime capacity in Warsaw Poland.
