Job Description
Sr. Transportation Manager
Dallas TX

Your Role:
- Oversee and manage all transportation operations to ensure timely and costeffective delivery of goods.
- Develop and implement transportation strategies that align with the company’s logistics objectives.
- Collaborate with crossfunctional teams to optimize supply chain operations and ensure seamless transportation processes.
- Monitor and analyze transportation metrics to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.
- Negotiate contracts with carriers and freight providers to secure favorable terms and pricing.
- Ensure compliance with transportation regulations and safety standards.
- Manage a team of transportation staff providing guidance training and performance evaluations.
- Prepare and manage transportation budgets controlling costs while enhancing service levels.
- Utilize transportation management systems (TMS) to streamline operations and improve efficiency.
- Respond to transportationrelated inquiries and issues providing exceptional customer service to internal and external stakeholders.
The Well Qualified Candidate Will Have:
- Bachelor's degree in Logistics Supply Chain Management Business Administration or a related field.
- Proven experience in transportation management or logistics preferably in a senior or managerial role.
- Strong knowledge of transportation regulations compliance and best practices.
- Exceptional analytical and problemsolving abilities.
- Effective leadership and team management skills.
- Proficiency in transportation management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Desired Experience
- 5 years of experience in transportation logistics or supply chain management.
- Experience in negotiating contracts and managing vendor relationships.
- Familiarity with industry trends and innovations in transportation and logistics.
- Previous experience in analytics or performance metrics in a logistics environment is a plus.
