Position Summary:
This is a local position for the West Michigan area. While hours are flexible and some remote work acceptable employees will be expected to spend some time in the Zeeland MI office (20%). To better support our customers the majority of all hours should overlap typical business hours (8am 5pm). Additionally occasional short term travel may be required for onsite visits to our Michigan and Midwest area customers.
Typical work involves designing and building applications and infrastructure for manufacturing customers including tasks such as:
- Database schema design / implementation SQL queries
- Inductive Automation Ignition platform work including design user interfaces (primarily Perspective) reporting screens tag historian alarming etc.
- Interface to customers existing control systems including networking drivers etc.
- AWS services such as Cognito DynamoDB IIoT Core Amplify CodeCommit Lambda functions API gateway etc.
- Code repository functionality / team collaboration
- Enterprise data integration / aggregation concepting and implementation
Requirements:
- Bachelors degree in Electrical or Computer Science Engineering or similar majors or 3 years experience in SCADA / MES / IIOT software development.
- Experience with SQL scripting creating various reports and utilization of database tools.
