You will be updated with latest job alerts via emailThe Line Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing IFEC (InFlight Entertainment & Connectivity) level checks content loading software loading and scheduled IFEC maintenance tasks. The role ensures the seamless operation of IFEC systems troubleshooting and resolving issues to maintain aircraft serviceability.
Technical Maintenance & Troubleshooting:
Perform IFEC level checks content loading software loading and other scheduled IFEC maintenance tasks.
Identify necessary corrective actions to restore functional acceptance including the removal and replacement of defective line replaceable modules (LRUs) cabling and consumable parts.
Troubleshoot IFEC system issues efficiently to minimize aircraft downtime and ensure passenger satisfaction.
Report task completion or deferral in compliance with operational and regulatory requirements.
Regulatory Compliance & Safety:
Ensure all work is performed in accordance with company policies health and safety regulations airport procedures and applicable aviation regulations.
Ensure proper utilization of resources including parts tools equipment and vehicles to optimize efficiency.
Maintain all serviceable and unserviceable items in accordance with proper tagging and return procedures.
Keep equipment and the workplace clean organized and safe for operation.
Ensure the correct use of personal protective equipment (PPE) provided by the company for health and safety compliance.
Collaboration & Communication:
Communicate and coordinate with Repair Station Team Leaders and Field Support Engineers (FSE) for effective troubleshooting and issue resolution.
Provide clear and concise reports on maintenance activities defects and operational status to supervisors and relevant stakeholders.
Stay updated on Technical Notices Quality Notices and general technical information to maintain competency in the latest industry advancements.
Qualifications :
Certification: Higher National Diploma or BTEC Level 3 Extended Diploma in Aerospace Engineering or an equivalent qualification.
Experience: Minimum of 2 years of aircraft maintenance experience particularly for selfcertifying staff.
Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills to diagnose and resolve IFEC system faults effectively.
Familiarity with aircraft maintenance procedures and regulatory compliance standards.
Ability to work in a dynamic fastpaced environment with a focus on efficiency and accuracy.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills to collaborate effectively with various stakeholders.
Willingness to work in shifts including nights and weekends as per operational requirements.
