Job Description

JOB PURPOSE: Management and supervision of the electricity trading operations of FDC Utilities Inc. and all of its subsidiaries

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Supervision and management of trading operations
  2. Accomplishes department objectives by managing staff; planning and evaluating department activities
  3. Optimization of spot reserve and bilateral electricity sales
  4. WESM Compliance
  5. Short and longterm Energy Market Modelling electricity price simulation and forecasting
  6. Power systems economics
  7. Power plant unit dispatch optimization
  8. Retail Electricity Pricing and Strategy
  9. Electricity trader training and career development
  10. Strategic management
  11. Proper operational execution of all shortterm and longterm Power Purchase Agreements

SPECIFICATIONS

EDUCATION: BS in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering Economics Statistics Finance or Other business related; Masters Degree in Business or Energy is an advantage

EXPERIENCE:

  1. At least 7 years of relevant experience in the power industry. working understanding of Philippine electricity spot market power system operation and analysis
  2. Strong analytical skills and decisionmaking
  3. Public communication skills
  4. Programming and data analytics
