Job Description
JOB PURPOSE: Management and supervision of the electricity trading operations of FDC Utilities Inc. and all of its subsidiaries
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Supervision and management of trading operations
- Accomplishes department objectives by managing staff; planning and evaluating department activities
- Optimization of spot reserve and bilateral electricity sales
- WESM Compliance
- Short and longterm Energy Market Modelling electricity price simulation and forecasting
- Power systems economics
- Power plant unit dispatch optimization
- Retail Electricity Pricing and Strategy
- Electricity trader training and career development
- Strategic management
- Proper operational execution of all shortterm and longterm Power Purchase Agreements
SPECIFICATIONS
EDUCATION: BS in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering Economics Statistics Finance or Other business related; Masters Degree in Business or Energy is an advantage
EXPERIENCE:
- At least 7 years of relevant experience in the power industry. working understanding of Philippine electricity spot market power system operation and analysis
- Strong analytical skills and decisionmaking
- Public communication skills
- Programming and data analytics
