Job Description
Echelon Engineers are seeking an experienced Mechanical Design Engineer with 4 years of industry experience particularly in steel fabrications. This is an exciting opportunity for someone with a strong background in 3D CAD (SolidWorks preferred) to contribute to impactful projects in a dynamic engineering environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design steel fabrications and mechanical systems to meet client specifications and industry standards.
- Create 3D models and detailed technical drawings using SolidWorks (or similar CAD software).
- Develop comprehensive manufacturing packs including material lists and assembly instructions.
- Collaborate across teams to ensure designs are manufacturable and optimized for cost and performance.
- Provide ongoing technical support during the manufacturing process.
Required Skills & Experience:
- 4 years of mechanical design experience with a focus on steel fabrications.
- Proficient in 3D CAD ideally SolidWorks.
- Strong understanding of mechanical design principles materials and fabrication processes.
- Experience preparing manufacturing packs and assembly instructions.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
