Job Description

Ready for a new challenge Were seeking an enthusiastic HSE Manager to join our innovative QHSE team at Geoquip Marine a leading Geotechnical site investigation company dedicated to the renewable energy sector.

Your impact:

In this role youll lead the operational and safety personnel within the HSE functionensuring our offshore and onshoreoperations meet the highest safety standards and regulatory requirements. Youll drive a culture of continuous improvement provide essential training and play a key role in keeping our people and operations safe.

The person:

  • Diploma or equivalent in HSE Management or related field
  • Significant experience in a high level management position preferably in geotechnical offshore oil and gas construction or marine industries
  • Strong knowledge in HSE legislation and guidance
  • Proven experience in managing operational teams and promoting cultural change
  • Proven experience in conducting audits risk assessments and incident investigations
  • Excellent leadership communication and problemsolving skills
  • Relevant certifications such as NEBOSH IOSH Lead Auditor (ISO 9001/14001/45001) preferred
  • Investigation training
  • Required to pass medical examinations for offshore work and must be willing to travel to offshore and site visits when needed
  • Adaptable to a dynamic work environment and regulatory changes
  • Required to mobilise to operational assets at short notice

The job:

  • Implementing comprehensive health safety and environmental procedures in accordance with legal and corporate guidelines and business requirements.
  • Leading investigations to ensure root causes are established improvement actions are identified.
  • Ensuring lessons learned are established from investigations and circulated across the fleet.
  • Sourcing and distributing external lessons learned to promote best practice.
  • Conducting risk assessments to identify potential hazards and developing preventative strategies.
  • Ensuring team members training is maintained to ensure awareness and understanding of HSE practices and legislation.
  • Being a visible leader across all business assets.
  • Assisting with emergency response initiatives and scheduling. Auditing responses and provide feedback.
  • Maintaining current knowledge of legislation and regulatory requirements related to health safety and environmental matters that impact the organisation.
  • Collaborating with internal leadership on all matters related to HSE.
  • Building and maintaining working relationships with project management and rig management.
  • Leading coaching and mentoring direct reports in behavioural change and culture.
  • Driving company cultural initiatives across the business and provide feedback on performance.
  • Consistently striving for best in class and lead by example.
  • Managing the Safety Management System (SMS) all events and management of actions relating to events.
  • Developing and maintaining documentation relating to HSE initiatives.
  • Assisting with the implementation of quarterly themes.
  • Liaising with Engineering and Operations Departments to assess HSE impact and facilitate preventative measures for health and safety into project planning.
  • Managing and leading a team of HSE personnel completing performance reviews and appraisals.
  • Providing HSE support to new business assets from cradle to grave.
  • Proving coaching and mentoring to assigned assets offshore leadership teams.
  • Any other duties deemed necessary within the boundaries of the role and the incumbents competence
