ABOUT THE ROLE
ProfessionLX specializes in professional services where we engage our employees to empower them to excel for our customers. We are currently seeking parttime Protestant Religious Education Coordinator candidates to join our team in support of the 31 FW in Aviano AB Italy. This position will responsible for developing and coordinating educational programs managing and supporting volunteers maintaining program records and compliance fostering community engagement and ensuring effective use and security of chapel resources and facilities. Successful candidates will possess a Bachelors degree or 5 years experience in an educational setting. Note: Salary is listed in US dollars.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
Religious Education Program Development & Coordination:
- Develop and implement a comprehensive religious education program in coordination with the Chaplain.
- Organize and administer educational opportunities including weekly classes and special events (e.g. Vacation Bible School holiday celebrations).
- Assess the needs of the program and set annual goals in collaboration with chapel leadership.
Volunteer Management:
- Recruit train and supervise volunteer teachers substitutes and other program staff.
- Conduct orientation organize training workshops and ensure volunteers meet background check requirements.
- Recognize and care for volunteers through appreciation events and support coordination to prevent burnout.
Program Administration & Documentation:
- Maintain current rosters records and continuity binders for educational materials curriculum and resources.
- Submit plans reports and statistical data to chapel leadership including quarterly program evaluations and afteraction reports.
- Ensure compliance with regulations including copyright laws and background checks for volunteers.
Community Engagement & Communication:
- Participate in chapel services and events to foster relationships within the Catholic community.
- Communicate regularly with students parents teachers and chapel staff to provide updates address concerns and promote the program.
- Utilize chapel social media and other communication channels for program publicity and outreach.
Facility and Resource Management:
- Prepare and maintain classrooms equipment and supplies for religious education programs.
- Report and follow up on facility issues and ensure proper security and key control for chapel spaces and property.
Requirements
WHAT YOU WILL BRING
- Possess an ability to maintain healthy functional interpersonal relationships with coworkers and customers.
- Ability to constructively work with chapel staff parish staff parishioners and the public in an interfaith arena.
- Efficient manager and able to coordinate activities and facilitate communication between volunteers and program leaders.
- Able to communicate desires needs and instructions clearly both verbally and in writing. Communicate well with both adults and children in the program.
- Have a willingness to work in and be fully conversant with the pluralistic environment of the Chaplain Corps.
- Have an ability to work unsupervised in a fluid and sometimesstressful environment with staff and volunteers
YOUR EDUCATION AND CERTIFICATIONS
- A baccalaureate or higher degree in education or as a substitute and 5 years educational experience (teaching RE Coordinator etc.) OR five years experience coordinating or directing a RE program for 60 or more students in either a military chapel or a civilian church setting within the past 5 years.
