An assembly technician assembles products performs quality checks and
troubleshoots problems. They may work in manufacturing assembling
mechanical electronic or optical devices.
Responsibilities
Assembly: Assemble products using hand and power tools following
blueprints schematics and technical specifications
Quality control: Check products for quality and identify any issues
Troubleshooting: Identify and fix assembly problems
Maintenance: Maintain and repair assembled products
Safety: Follow safety guidelines and report any issues
Training: Train others on how to operate assembly line workstations
Requirements
Qualifications
High school diploma or GED
Technical skills and manual dexterity
Experience working in a team environment
Ability to read technical drawings and blueprints
Proficiency with hand and power tools
Strong attention to detail
Good communication skills
Work environment
Assembly technicians may work in manufacturing environments
They may work with automated systems and complex robotics
They may need to be able to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 pounds
