Job Description

CK Group are recruiting for a Regulatory Specialist, to join a chemical company at their site based in Alfreton, on a permanent basis. As the Company s Regulatory Specialist, you will provide technical expertise in the production of Safety Data Sheets, and ensuring ongoing compliance with hazard classification, label compliance and regulatory requirements of the business. This is a part time role, with 24 hours per week, with flexibility on days worked.

Our client is one of the country's leading suppliers and manufacturers of solvent and water based products.


Location:
This role is located in Alfreton.


Your main duties will be:

  • Maintain data on substances, raw materials, and mixtures / products within SDS software.
  • Generate safety data sheets, labelling information (including detergent) and transport information for GB EU.
  • Managing UFI s and using software functionality.
  • Conduct technical reviews of raw material / substance safety data sheets (SDS) and verify the classification and labelling of raw materials.
  • Collaborate with sales team to support complex customer queries using regulatory knowledge of GB, EU.
  • Monitor existing and new chemical regulations.

Your Background:

  • Minimum of 5 years experience in a similar role, specifically authoring SDS s and maintaining substance and mixture records.
  • Degree in chemistry or related field.
  • Knowledge of substance and mixture classification, along with labelling in accordance with the Globally Harmonised System.
  • A high level of expertise in Global Chemical Legislations, particularly CLP and GHS.
