Job Description
We are hiring a System Engineer (M/F) for a renowned Swiss organization based in Zurich.
Tasks
- Allrounder handon tasks that include: escalated support assistance interacting with internal clients ensuring data security maintaining physical and virtual server infrastructure and ongoing performance tuning on prod/preprod/validation/integration environments.
- 24/7 Third level support on Windows servers Redhat servers VMware infrastructure on prod (regulated) environment.
Main characteristics/scope
- Support of VMware infrastructure in Dbendorf running on Prod/Preprod/Validation and Integration
- Support of future VMware Enterprise Edge infrastructure in Dbendorf and Geneva running on Prod and Preprod
- Support of RedHat and Windows servers.
- Support of Storage and backup infrastructure.
- Automation of recurring tasks.Creation of base image for Redhat and Windows servers.
Tasks
- Understand existing technical environment Systems Processes Tools
- Support assistance and interacting with internal clients ensuring data security maintaining physical and virtual server infrastructure backup infrastructure and ongoing performance tuning.
- Troubleshooting incident management (recovery repair) daily monitoring of existing systems.
- Creation/update of documentations and procedures.
Requirements
Experience in Tools
- Jira confluence
Technical competences and skills
- Extensive experience with infrastructure management and monitoring.
- Expertise in Virtualized infrastructure running under VMware.
- Expertise experience on OS Redhat or Windows servers.
- Extensive on SAN storage (HPE)
- Extensive on backup infrastructure running under Veeam.Datacenter experience with both virtual and bare metal hosts.
