Job Description
Our Customer is looking for 2 Backup Solution Implementation Specialist (PPDM on SQL Servers) in Warsaw who will be obliged to visit one of the clients offices twice per week
Please note that our client requires thorough background verification checks for consultants before they begin providing services to the Bank. The verification process may cover key aspects such as:
- Identity verification
- Criminal record check / security clearance
- External engagements review
- Academic qualifications verification
- Certification and diploma validation
- Employment history verification with previous employers
- Reference checks
- Work permit/visa verification
- Sanctions screening
Responsible for designing deploying and configuring the bankwide backup solution for MS SQL servers using PowerProtect Data Manager (PPDM). The primary objective is to ensure the availability performance integrity and compliance of backups in line with organizational policies.
1. Implementation:
- Design and configure SQL Server backup solutions including scheduling retention policies and disaster recovery strategies.
- Conduct initial and periodic testing to verify backup reliability and effectiveness.
2. Collaboration:
- Work closely with database administrators (DBAs) to understand SQL Server environments and backup needs.
- Coordinate with IT and infrastructure teams to ensure seamless integration with existing systems.
3. Monitoring and Issue Resolution:
- Integrate backup solutions with monitoring and issuetracking tools.
- Analyze backup operations address failures or performance issues and implement automated troubleshooting solutions.
4. Documentation and Training:
- Maintain detailed records of backup configurations workflows and policies.
- Train IT staff on effectively utilizing PPDM for backup and recovery operations.
5. Compliance and Optimization:
- Ensure backup procedures align with organizational and regulatory requirements.
- Optimize backup configurations to enhance performance and resource efficiency
- Fluent English
- 4 years of similar experience
- Bachelors degree in IT Computer Science or a related field.
- Handson experience in SQL Server administration including backup and restore procedures.
- Proficiency in PowerShell scripting for automation and backup management.
