The Lead Data Engineer will be responsible for designing and overseeing the implementation of data architectures using Microsoft Azure services. This role requires deep expertise in Azure data technologies data modelling and cloud data solutions. The ideal candidate will work closely with crossfunctional teams to deliver data solutions that meet business needs and drive strategic objectives Qualification Bachelors degree in computer science Information Systems Data Science or a related field. Advanced degree or relevant certifications (e.g. Microsoft Certified: Azure Data Engineer Associate Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert) are a plus. Snowpro Core Certification (Mandatory) Experience Skills and Competencies Lead the design and implementation of scalable data architectures using Azure data services including Azure Data Lake Storage Azure SQL Database Azure Synapse Analytics and Azure Data Factory. Work closely with data engineers data scientists BI Engineers business analysts and other stakeholders to understand data requirements and deliver architecture solutions that align with business objectives. Strong background in data modeling and data warehousing concepts with experience creating logical and physical data models. Design and manage ETL pipelines and data integration processes utilizing Azure Data Factory and other relevant tools to ensure seamless data flow between systems. Proficiency in SQL and experience with database technologies (e.g. Oracle SQL Server MySQL PostgreSQL) and data warehousing solutions (e.g. Snowflake Amazon Redshift Google Big Query). Deep understanding of cloud computing principles and experience with Azure cloud infrastructure and services. Develop and document comprehensive data architecture strategies and roadmaps to support business objectives and technical requirements. Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to convey complex data concepts to both technical and nontechnical stakeholders.
