Job Description

Specific Responsibilities (includes but not limited to):
Possess indepth understanding and ability to analyze and design according to current design codes criteria and structural mechanics.
Design permanent structures such as bridges sign foundations moment slabs MSE walls etc.
Design temporary structures including but not limited to:
Formwork/Falsework Design
Erection Demolition and Heavy Lift Planning
Support of Excavation Systems
Load Rating and Evaluation of Existing Structures
Temporary Bridges and Work Trestles
Fall Protection Systems
Barge Analysis
Provide onsite design engineering support and inspections.
Coordinate with Project Managers/Engineers and Owners to resolve issues.
Identify and assist with the preparation of value engineering proposals.
Assist with material and shop drawing submittals.
Support the Project Manager with project log updates and maintenance.
Assist with surveying calculations and plans.
Implement new software (3D CAD DatuBIM etc.).
Requirements
Bachelor s and/or Master s Degree or higher in Structural Engineering Civil Engineering or Mechanical Engineering from an ABETaccredited college or university (Master s Degree preferred).
GPA above 3.0 is preferred.
2 years of relevant engineering experience.
Experience with permanent and temporary structures and/or construction engineering is preferred but not required.
PE licensure or ability to obtain it once experience/testing requirements are met.
Strong understanding of constructability and academic knowledge of structural engineering.
Experience with engineering design and drafting software such as AutoCAD MicroStation RISA3D MathCAD SkyCiv etc.
Strong interpersonal and organizational skills.
Selfstarter with the ability to work unsupervised.
Team player who is selfmotivated to succeed.
Benefits
Bachelor s and/or Master s Degree or higher in Structural Engineering, Civil Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering from an ABET accredited college or university (Master s Degree or greater is preferred). GPA above 3.0 is preferred. 0-2 years of relevant engineering experience. Experience with permanent and temporary structures, construction engineering, or construction labor is a plus. Passed the Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) Exam or the ability to do so within the first year of employment. Strong understanding of constructability and academic knowledge of structural engineering. Experience with engineering design and drafting software such as AutoCAD, MicroStation, RISA-3D, MathCAD, SkyCiv, etc. Strong interpersonal and organizational skills. Self-starter with the ability to work unsupervised. Team player and self-motivated to achieve success.
