You will be updated with latest job alerts via emailThe NC DHHS IT Enterprise Level Data Warehouse Technical Specialist will provide advanced architect (lead technical expert) support and requires experience in systems development tools and techniques. This position requires excellent communication analytical and organization skills and the ability to translate business and technical ideas and issues into clear and concise language; excellent customer service skills; can contribute and work within a team environment; and can communicate effectively and professionally in verbal and written form with management and coworkers. Advanced knowledge of cloud (OCI AWS. Or Azure) database systems is required along with experience in modifying or developing complex interrelated applications and solutions. The role involves linking technical expertise with business research or instructional needs ranging from consulting services (software or hardware recommendations) to the development of integrated automated systems. Duties include client needs assessment as well as evaluating hardware availability and software requirements.
This position will be responsible for various activities related to the design implementation and maintenance of complex Oracle and SQL Server databases. Experienced in supporting applications based on various platforms and technologies such as IBM Mainframe Sun Solaris (UNIX) Database platforms and tools (Oracle SQL Server DB2 MS Access) SAS DI Integration Unix shell script C/C SQL query writing Stored Procedures FTP Encryption/Decryption tools IIS Apache HTTPD Apache Tomcat TCP/IP Network Firewall VM Architecture SSL Certificate Tools Active Directory VPN Solaris VI Editor Curl X Windows Word Excel IE and Firefox. Experience with ETL structured system development methodologies data transfer and interface methodologies between mainframes and servers and distributed server environments in a statewide environment.
