Job Description
Title: User Interface Designer
Duration: 12 Months
Location: Albany NY
Note: This is an Onsite Role.
Job Description:
- The ideal candidate will have a passion for designing user interfaces that are not only visually appealing but also intuitive and userfriendly enhancing the overall student experience.
- The UI Designer will provide strategic and functional advice and guidance to the project director implementation leads Digital Transformation Project (DTP) teams and division directors on business/functionalrelated matters ensuring that business strategies align with the overall project goals.
- Additionally this role will facilitate collaboration between departments SUNY campuses and external vendors to ensure all project requirements are identified procured
- and available to meet the project schedule.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with product managers user experience (UX) designers developers and educational stakeholders to create and implement design solutions.
- Design user interfaces for student systems that align with brand guidelines and provide an optimal user experience.
- Develop wireframes highfidelity mockups and interactive prototypes to communicate design ideas effectively.
- Incorporate user research findings and feedback into UI designs in collaboration with UX designers.
- Conduct usability testing to validate design decisions and iterate based on user feedback.
- Ensure designs are responsive accessible and adhere to best practices and accessibility standards.
- Participate in design reviews and offer constructive feedback to team members.
Required Experience:
- UI design experience in education government and corporate projects with a focus on application development.
- Experience providing strategic advice and guidance to senior management on business/functional matters.
- Expertise in evaluating and improving business processes and systems for enhanced efficiency and effectiveness.
- Proficiency in utilizing data analytics to drive business insights and identify opportunities for digital enhancement.
