Job Description
REF: 001
Assist the client military civilian and contracted personnel with the daytoday operation of a Network Operation Centre (NOC) including but not limited to:
- Capture record analyze resolve incidents (technical or security) and service requests raised by the clients enduser via specified Information Technology Service Management tool. In the case of solution conflict provide leadership with Subject Matter Expert (SME) advice to assist in option analysis and decision making;
- Analyze manage and update both system network and permission configuration to maintain availability and performance
- Utilize tools available to log and monitor the health and performance of the network. Based on mid to longterm analytics on log provide recommendations to enhance the overall performance of the network;
- Review analyze execute and record network maintenance tasks on both server hardware virtual environment software and authorized enduser devices. This includes firmware updates performance and security patching and server hardware upgrades;
- If required request technical support on unresolved incidents service requests and or maintenance tasks;
- Manage and update technical documentation. Distribute documentation to tactical units and provide technical guidance and assistance as required in support of remote network management;
- Attend meetings as requested by the leadership;
- Working closely with Canadian Forces Network Operations Centre (FNOC) protect the client by responding to security incidents. Assist in documenting and reporting of incidents to leadership;
Qualifications :
- Proof of an undergraduate level degree in software computer systems electrical or a suitable engineering field related to systems analysis.
- Minimum 6 years experience in software engineering in at least two of this assessment areas criteria:
- Requirements Analysis production and review of detailed technical requirements from the analysis of higher level operational/user requirements requirements gap analysis and experience conducting requirements tracing.
- Cost Analysis detailed cost estimation of technical systems and support organizations for projects or programs with over $1 million per year expenditures. Estimating time and resources required for others to carry out tasks and determining resource requirements to produce planning documents.
- Specification Development writing detailed engineering and/or contractual specification documents for complex technical systems.
- Quality Engineering managing quality engineering and/or quality management tasks System Problem Reporting and problem resolution for software systems knowledge and experience with ISO 9000 ISO 10006 QFD CMMI or other industry formal Quality Management systems.
- Minimum 6 years experience conducting stakeholder engagement in support of system analysis work.
