Job Description
Position Title: Application Development Manager
Compensation: $115K 140K
Duration: Hybrid 50% inoffice
Location: Denver CO
Overview:
Our client has an immediate need for an Application Development Manager to lead the design implementation and support of internal and vendorpackaged solutions to enhance the core banking platform (Symitar) and other enterprise applications. This role oversees core developers collaborates with business and IT teams and optimizes operational efficiency through technology. The right candidate will be driven with a passion for excellence strong software engineering discipline problemsolving skills knowledge in Symitar PowerOn as well as the ability to drive innovation and efficiency.
Essential Functions:
- Manage and supervise core development teams across scrum teams and business lines including resource planning and allocation.
- Collaborate with the Enterprise Project Management Office (PMO) and stakeholders for project delivery.
- Foster a teamoriented work environment that values diversity teamwork creativity and customer satisfaction.
- Lead design development and governance practices to ensure efficient and highquality software solutions.
- Implement continuous improvement processes analyze feedback and performance metrics.
- Define design patterns review code and ensure compliance with coding security and information standards.
- Work with external vendors to integrate solutions and influence application architecture strategy.
Required Skills & Experience:
- 4year degree or equivalent experience (B.S. in Computer Science preferred)
- 6 years experience with financial institution technologies (e.g. Symitar MeridianLink Alkami)
- Expertise in software development methodologies version control and testing practices
- Leadership experience in coaching mentoring and motivating teams
- Strong understanding of Agile project management principles
- Ability to influence executive leadership
Preferred Skills & Experience:
- BS/MS in Computer Science or related field
- Experience with Symitar/PowerOn/RepGen development integration and support
- Knowledge of IBM AIX SQL HTML JavaScript
- Experience with ITIL and engineering process implementation
