Job Description

Senior UX Designer Remote

We have an open role in the insurance industry for our client. This position focuses on designing and enhancing digital experiences for group benefits sponsors working closely with internal stakeholders to align business goals with user needs. The role involves UX/UI design research and collaboration with product business and IT teams in an agile environment.

Salaried: $55 to $63 per hour.
Incorporated Business Rate: $70 to $75 per hour.
6month contract with the potential for permanent employment.
Fulltime position: 37.50 hours per week.
Work schedule from 8:30 am to 4:30 pm.

Responsibilities:

Collaborate with partners in product business and IT to understand business goals and align them with user needs.
Apply UX and UI principles to design solutions that solve user problems and make an impact on business objectives.
Create and execute UX research plans to define user needs test ideas and assess project impacts
Present research findings and UX recommendations to stakeholders.
Work with agile product and development teams to refine ideas ensure feasibility and support development questions about the UI.
Apply usercentered design principles to influence project strategy and direction.
Advocate for datadriven design solutions for web.
Create digital experiences that are efficient consistent and scalable across multiple platforms.
Develop user scenarios personas user flows wireframes prototypes and UI documentation.
Conduct concept and usability testing to validate and improve designs.
Track UX metrics and analytics reporting on the success of UX improvements.
Ensure standards and best practices are appropriately documented.

What you will need to succeed:

University degree or certification in User Experience or equivalent work experience.
35 years of experience in usercentered design and user experience.
Portfolio demonstrating impactful user experiences and problemsolving processes.
Experience designing web and mobile UI using Figma.
Ability to work with design systems that scale across platforms.
Knowledge of accessibility standards and best practices.
Strong verbal and written communication skills to articulate design decisions to stakeholders.
Strong presentation skills with the ability to advocate for user needs using qualitative and quantitative data.
Familiarity with current web standards and UI/UX trends.
Creative problemsolving abilities with an analytical approach to complex challenges.
Ability to produce highquality creative solutions in a fastpaced environment.
Strong sense of ownership and advocacy for the end user.
Open to taking on new challenges and learning new skills.
Collaborative curious and innovative mindset.
Prior experience in financial services is an asset.
Basic understanding of frontend web development (HTML CSS JS) is an asset.
Experience working with the Pega CRM Suite is an asset.
Experience with tools and technologies including Figma/FigJam Microsoft Teams Jira and Confluence.
