Job Description

We are seeking a detailoriented and analytical General Ledger Accountant (m/f/d) to join our finance team in Frankfurt Germany. In this role you will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records preparing reports and ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulations.

  • Manage and maintain the general ledger ensuring accuracy and timeliness of financial data
  • Perform monthend and yearend close processes including account reconciliations and financial statement preparation
  • Analyze financial data and prepare detailed reports for management and stakeholders
  • Assist in the development and implementation of accounting policies and procedures
  • Collaborate with other departments to resolve accounting discrepancies and improve financial processes
  • Ensure compliance with GAAP IFRS and German accounting standards
  • Participate in audit preparations and respond to auditor inquiries
  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy in financial reporting

Qualifications :

Education & Qualifications                    

  • Bachelors Degree in Accounting is required

Required Experience

  • Minimum of 6 years experience in similar role preferably in a multinational environment
  • Excellent written and spoken English and Germany is essential
  • Excellent Microsoft Office Excel Skills
  • Ability to work to tight deadlines in an accurate manner
  • Excellent numeracy skills
  • Ability to work as part of a wider team and with remote teams
  • Excellent analytical organisational communication and interpersonal skills

Desired Experience

  • Experience with Oracle is preferred
  • Practical experience of US group audit or a US reporting environment
