Job Description
We are seeking a detailoriented and analytical General Ledger Accountant (m/f/d) to join our finance team in Frankfurt Germany. In this role you will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records preparing reports and ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulations.
- Manage and maintain the general ledger ensuring accuracy and timeliness of financial data
- Perform monthend and yearend close processes including account reconciliations and financial statement preparation
- Analyze financial data and prepare detailed reports for management and stakeholders
- Assist in the development and implementation of accounting policies and procedures
- Collaborate with other departments to resolve accounting discrepancies and improve financial processes
- Ensure compliance with GAAP IFRS and German accounting standards
- Participate in audit preparations and respond to auditor inquiries
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy in financial reporting
Qualifications :
- Bachelors degree in Accounting Finance or related field
- 35 years of experience in general ledger accounting or similar role
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g. SAP Oracle) and advanced Excel skills
- Strong knowledge of GAAP IFRS and German accounting standards and regulations
- Experience with monthend and yearend close processes
- Excellent financial reporting and analysis skills
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fastpaced environment
- Strong attention to detail and analytical problemsolving skills
- Fluency in German and English both written and spoken
- Professional accounting certification (e.g. CPA ACCA) preferred
