SW Engineer Cardinal

Visa U.S.A. Inc. a Visa Inc. company needs a SW Engineer (Cardinal) (multiple openings) in Foster City CA to

• Deliver scalable secure applications while following the software development life cycle established by the company.
• Responsible for delivering endtoend software solutions on the Development Team that fulfill both customer and project needs.
• Write clean readable and reusable code testing deploying to end users and providing support when needed.
• Complete tasks related to the complete software development life cycle including technical requirements development and testing.
• Quickly notice design issues that present when working in a highly available web farm rather than a single instance of code.
• Focus on how own project will react against the actual production environment and less on passing QA.
• Work between the UI/UX designers and the Database team and own the internal APIs and business logic and interactions between internal and 3rd party systems.
• Troubleshoot technical issues that come up within the production environment and work with internal teams to coordinate the releasing of code to production environment.
• May telecommute.

Qualifications :

Basic Qualifications:
 

• Employer will accept a Bachelors degree in Computer Science Engineering Information Technology or related technical field and 3 years of experience in the job offered or in a computerrelated occupation.
• Alternatively employer will accept a Masters degree in Computer Science Engineering Information Technology or related technical field and 1 year of experience in the job offered or in a computerrelated occupation.
• Position requires experience in the following:
• Development of software conforming to defined standards for interfaces automated testing extensibility and maintainability;
• Proficient in consuming and producing tested APIs;
• Writing automated tests for new features and update existing tests;
• Working between the UI/UX designers and the Database team;
• Troubleshooting technical issues that come up within the production environment;
• Handling large data sets and knowing ways to process them quickly;
• Agile team experience; and
• Java including Spring or Spring MVC.

Worksite: Foster City CA (May Telecommute)

This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 23 set days a week (determined by leadership/site) with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs.

Travel Requirements: This position does not require travel.

Mental/Physical Requirements: This position will be performed in an office setting.  The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk communicate in person and by telephone frequently operate standard office equipment such as telephones and computers.

Salary may vary depending on jobrelated factors which may include knowledge skills experience and location. In addition this position may be eligible for an annual bonus and equity.
