The Rademakers Lab at the VIBUAntwerp Center for Molecular Neurolgy is looking for a fulltime bioinformatician/data manager to support our team in analyzing obtaining maintaining and using publicly available as well as internal patient sample and omics data in the context of neurodegenerative research. The Rademakers Lab addresses a broad set of questions related to frontotemporal dementia and related neurodegenerative disorders with an emphasis on understanding the genetic etiology and developing diagnostics and treatment methods for these diseases. For this purpose we generate and analyze large datasets including short and longread genome sequencing of hundreds of patient and control individuals singlenuclei transcriptome sequencing proteomics and methods to analyze the methylome. We now seek to expand our team with someone who will assist in processing sequencing data participate in a number of research programs as bioinformatics support and contribute to the development of software and pipelines.
