Job Summary:

As a Drywall Finisher you’ll be supporting the developments in commercial residential and other construction projects. The work will include: drywall installation and repairs installing all types of floor coverings ceilings paneling trim and framing. You must be able to use a wide variety of hand and power tools and maintain them in good safe working order. Site safety is critical in this role as a mid senior level leading by example and directing less experienced team members where needed.

Key Responsibilities:

• Apply joint tape and joint compound to seams smoothing to create a seamless surface.
• Sand drywall surfaces between coats to achieve a smooth even finish.
• Apply multiple coats of joint compound ensuring proper drying and smoothness.
• Install and finish corner beads to create clean sharp edges at corners.
• Perform touchups on seams holes and surface imperfections for a highquality finish.
• Maintain and clean tools (taping knives mud pans sanders) to ensure efficiency and safety.
• Collaborate with the installation team to ensure proper drywall finishing and a quality end product.

Requirements:

• Proven experience in drywall finishing or related construction work.
• Proficient with hand tools (taping knives mud pans) and power tools (sand and drywall lifts).
• Strong attention to detail and ability to achieve a smooth even finish.
• Physical stamina and ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Knowledge of safety practices and standards in drywall finishing.
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
• Good communication skills and time management to meet deadlines.

Work Conditions:

• Flexability on working hours may be required overtime will be paid accordingly.
• Travel to offsite locations may be required.
• Safety equipment will be required e.g. steeltoed safety boots safety glasses/goggles etc.
• Hazards associated with the trade.
• Work both indoors in confined spaces and outdoors.
• Clean warm work clothes (jeans longsleeves hoodies etc.).
