Job Description
The NPD Assistant will support the New Product Development (NPD) team in managing and coordinating various product development activities. This role involves assisting with research prototype testing documentation and crossfunctional collaboration to ensure the successful launch of new products.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Product Development Support:
- Assist in the development of new products from concept to launch.
- Support the NPD team in market research competitor analysis and trend identification.
- Work closely with design engineering and manufacturing teams to facilitate product development.
- Track project timelines and ensure deliverables are met within the defined schedules.
2. Prototyping & Testing:
- Assist in preparing and reviewing product prototypes.
- Coordinate product testing collect feedback and document improvements.
- Work with quality and compliance teams to ensure products meet required standards.
3. Documentation & Reporting:
- Maintain accurate records of project status test results and product specifications.
- Prepare reports and presentations for internal stakeholders.
- Assist in creating technical documentation user manuals and packaging content.
4. Supplier & Vendor Coordination:
- Liaise with suppliers and vendors to source materials and samples.
- Assist in evaluating supplier proposals and maintaining supplier databases.
5. Crossfunctional Coordination:
- Work closely with marketing sales and supply chain teams to align product development with business objectives.
- Participate in internal and external meetings related to NPD projects.
Requirements
Qualifications & Skills:
- Education: Bachelors degree in Engineering Product Design Business or a related field.
- Experience: 13 years of experience in new product development project management or a related role.
- Strong analytical and problemsolving skills.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
- Proficiency in MS Office (Excel Word PowerPoint) and project management tools.
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes and quality standards is a plus.
