Role Overview:
The Senior Accountant plays a leadership role in managing all of the companys daytoday accounting activities. They are responsible for ensuring the accuracy and completeness of financial information by preparing analyzing and providing recommendations to senior management. The Senior Accountant serves as a strategic partner to the Chief Financial Officer and contributes to the companys overall financial strategy.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee the accounting team and ensure the accuracy and completeness of accounting records and financial statements
Prepare and maintain accurate financial records including general ledger accounts payable accounts receivable and payroll
Reconcile bank statements credit card accounts and other financial accounts on a timely basis
Prepare periodic financial statements and other financial reports in accordance with applicable accounting standards
Conduct indepth financial analyses to identify trends opportunities and potential challenges
Develop and implement accounting policies and procedures to ensure regulatory compliance and sound internal controls
Provide technical accounting guidance and training to the finance team
Support the monthend quarterend and yearend close processes
Collaborate with other departments to provide financial insights and support decisionmaking
Participate in the budgeting forecasting and strategic planning processes
Stay current on changes in accounting regulations and best practices
Required Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in Accounting or Finance
CPA or CMA certification preferred
3 years of progressive experience in a senior accounting or finance role
Strong technical accounting knowledge and expertise in financial reporting
Proficient in financial analysis budgeting and forecasting
Excellent problemsolving critical thinking and communication skills
Ability to work collaboratively and lead crossfunctional teams
Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
Familiarity with ERP and accounting software systems
