バスケットボール審判員の具体的な責任にはファウルのコールやポゼッションの変更フリースローの施行と強制が含まれます審判員の権限には不正行為の罰則のコールプレーヤーまたはコーチの退場または特定の状況下での試合の不戦勝のコールも含まれます審判員はまたプレーの中断中に秩序を維持する責任がありプレーの中断中にルールの違反に対してテクニカルファウルを科したりプレーヤーを退場させることができます
