The Senior Systems Engineer provides advanced systems engineering leadership for diagnostic ultrasound products and platform development with responsibility for system requirements design analysis subsystem integration technical tradeoff decisions risk management and system verification and validation. This role works across functions and organizational boundaries to drive robust technical execution resolve complex system-level issues and ensure products meet customer workflow performance image quality reliability serviceability manufacturability regulatory compliance and cost objectives.

Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Provide broad technical expertise and senior-level systems engineering leadership for diagnostic ultrasound product and platform development.
  • Lead system-level engineering activities across requirements design analysis subsystem definition integration and performance evaluation.
  • Provide strong technical leadership in architecture-related product decisions including subsystem boundaries interface definitions and system design tradeoffs while aligning with broader architecture direction.
  • Lead complex component and product integration activities to achieve robust system performance operability and image quality.
  • Lead and support development and execution of system verification and validation strategies test procedures and analysis methods to ensure design intent and product performance are achieved.
  • Drive software implementation for innovative future ultrasound projects using MATLAB and C.
  • Drive technical risk identification FMEA and mitigation planning across system and subsystem domains.
  • Support and influence future product/platform evolution by contributing technical insight for reuse scalability and improved capability insertion.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentoring to less experienced engineers; strengthen systems-thinking and engineering best practices across the team.
  • Lead resolution of complex system issues arising during development integration manufacturing verification release and field operation.
  • Work directly with customers Marketing and field personnel to translate user needs into robust engineering requirements and differentiated product solutions. Develop methods to quantify subsystem interactions and their effects on image quality and system performance.
  • Drive continuous improvement through implementation of process and product quality improvement initiatives. Comply with the Quality Manual Quality Management System Quality Management Policy Quality Goals and applicable laws and regulations.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering Biomedical Engineering Physics or closely related discipline.
  • Significant experience in systems engineering product development and system integration for complex technical products.
  • Strong experience in requirements development specification management traceability flow down system-level integration and technical problem solving.
  • Proven ability to work across functions and organizational boundaries and influence technical decisions.
  • Proficiency in both MATLAB and C. This would include but not limited to the ability to create standalone code and to debug large code sets in both languages.
  • Broad exposure to Hardware/Software/Systems design and technical depth in one or more engineering disciplines (Electrical Mechanical Software etc.)
  • Business level English communication skill.

  • Proficiency in ultrasound/acoustic physics.
  • Experience in new product development for medical devices or imaging systems
